I always offer the names and email addresses or phone numbers of happy puppy buyers but no one ever wants to take me up on my offer.  I think they just don't want to "bother" someone with a call or an email.

Soooooooo........below are some excerpts from emails received from owners of Crumpet puppies that I am sharing in lieu of offering contacts for references.

This is just one of the rewards for all the hours of planning and hard work that go into each and every litter we raise here.

Of course you can use some of the pictures.  Yes, that is an adorable picture of Kate hanging upside down onto Buddy.  You might notice that there are very few pictures of them playing with each other -- they are actually cutest when they are playing with each other (e.g., when Kate runs sideways and hurls herself into Buddy to knock him over), but it's essentially impossible to get a picture of them when they move that fast.

Truly, I am amazed by how wonderful your puppies are!  You must be a very special person to raise such incredible dogs.  And your little ones are making a huge difference.  Not only are they helping my parents, but they are helping a few people in their community who have recently lost their spouses.  Playing with Buddy and Kate is the one thing that brings a smile to these people's faces.  Once they are house-trained, my dad plans to take them to the Alzeimhers ward in the community hospital.  I'm sure they'll cheer up those people as well.

Take care,
Jennifer

Dear Linda:

I wanted to update you on Chimmi, my Cavalier, that I received from you in March of 2005.  Chimmi is Andrew’s son who belongs to Barbara Anson here in Memphis.  I grew up with dogs and other assorted pets so I thought that I knew so much about the love of a puppy.  I have never experienced as much love and devotion as I have received from my sweet boy, Chimmi.  He is a joy.  Chimmi is so good, and everyone that comes in contact with him loves him dearly.  My two boys enjoy his company, and they snuggle up with him and play tennis ball.  My husband admits daily that he has never seen a better behaved dog.  As much as we all love him, Chimmi is my dog.  Chimmi and I both know it.  He does not like to be separated from my side, and I feel the same way.  We walk twice a day together, and Chimmi sleeps at the end of my bed (my side, of course).  In regard to his health, it is outstanding.  Chimmi may be a bit taller than standard, but he is a beautiful Cavalier.  He weighs 20 pounds, and my vet says that he is not overweight at all.

I just wanted you to know how happy we all are.  I will send you some pictures.  I just got a digital camera so I am working on it.  Thank you for allowing us the pleasure and honor of being Chimmi’s owners.

Jill Crocker

Then in August of 2008........

I just wanted to touch base with you to tell you about Chimmi.  Chimmi is Graceton I Get Around (Andrew) and Hot Salsa’s son.  I purchased him from you in March of 2003.  Chimmi is the most wonderful friend, companion, and my best buddy.  He is well behaved and loving to anyone he encounters.  There is not a day that goes by that I do not count my blessings.  Once again, I want to thank you for allowing him to come live with us and for your high standards.  I have heard from many people in the Memphis area about problems with Cavaliers, and I have had more than one person ask me about Chimmi’s home and parents because he is such the prototype Cavalier.    Chimmi is everything promised and more.  We are so lucky to have him.

I hope to one day expand our home to another Cavalier when the time is right, and I will for sure want another Crumpet Cavalier.  Once again, thank you.

FYI -  Chimmi’s health reports have been 100% clear, he has no weight issues, and he can play tennis ball all day long.

Hi, Linda and Cliff!

As I do from time to time, I visited your website today.  What beautiful babies you have! Congratulations!

I can't believe that Oliver will be one year old next month! Time does fly!  :-)

I can't thank you enough for allowing me to be Oliver's "mommy"! He is a sweet, lively boy, and he is my beautiful, affectionate, and oh-so-happy constant companion. I don't think his tail ever stops wagging--haha! He wakes me up in the morning by putting his little face right next to my face, and wags his tale like "It's going to be another happy and fun day, Mommy, wake up!"

I love Oliver So much! I do believe that he has also kept my little elderly Sheltie company, also, and perhaps rejuvenated "Linus" a bit!

I'm sending a pic of Oliver, and Linus, if I can find one that I haven't sent to you before.

God Bless You BOTH, and may God Bless your beautiful little babies!

Julie  Bryant- Hein and Oliver and Linus. :-)

"I don’t know where I have been for so long....well, sort of – but anyway, I checked out your website (that I had no idea existed) and really like all the pictures and information.  You’ve had some wonderful pups recently, but I have to say that (in my humble opinion) Daisy is one of the better looking ones. :)
I noticed that you put the picture of her in the site – thank you....now everyone can have the opportunity to know how beautiful she is.  That picture was taken when she was a bit over 1 1/2 years old – Christmas of 2003, I think.  So, the pictures I’ve sent recently are at about age 3.
I took her with me tonight to pick up some dinner from a local family restaurant and she was oooohhhhed and ahhhhed over by everyone who saw her.  Daisy greeted them with  her smile and beautiful eyes and enchanted everyone who saw her.
I have to say that it’s been a journey getting to know her and she training me – but we have developed a beautiful friendship and I can’t imagine my life without her.  Thank you for the opportunity to be owned by such a wonderful animal."

Many puppy “kisses”,
Tracey

"Linda, just got back from the Vet, and Christmas shopping with Phoebe, she is simply wonderful. We made our introduction trip to Pet Smart. "She was a hit"
Last night I rolled her up in a towel, put her in her case and sat it on my bed at 9:30pm, did not hear a peep out of her until I woke her up at 6:30,
I let her out with Gabbie, under my supervision (of course) for Gabbie to teach her where to potty, which was very successful. She is not afraid of
the grass, and potties promptly
when taken out.
Health wise she is fine, her nails
are cut and she is eating like a
little pig.
Right now she is asleep (snoring) I
am getting ready to go for a hair cut, and
will take her with me.
Thanks for a wonderful, healthy puppy.
Sandy
ps:
I will send pictures of all ASAP."
